past few days | goodfood

What has always helped and healed me in life is ayurveda. It's so beautiful to me, more than I can express - it saved me during a very dangerous time in '12. I stray away from it because, again, the feeling of being undeserving of happiness/health/joy - yet I will grasp it, for desires I know not yet how, or dare to, express. I have been photographing my beautiful meals over the past few days, and I will now share them with you!


Toasted gluten-free wrap! One half with ghee, the other spread with lemon & coriander hummus.
Filled with cumin, coriander & coconut oil fried kale, zucchini, green and yellow bell pepper,
topped with nutritional yeast, soy sauce and lime.

I'm using a Samsung NX300M now and it is AWESOME. I only have the basic lens right now but I cannot wait to have enough to buy my next, a 45mm f1.8 beauty... perfectly bokeh backgrounds, my dream~ I'm so excited to work with it.. also, it's so slim and light and functional and fantastic ahh!! Through text you can surely gauge my joy over it, hehe.. my father gave it to me as a Christmas present, I am so immensely grateful.

My main go-to meal! Equal portions of gluten-free wholegrains: brown rice, quinoa and buckwheat (soaked for 24 hours for optimum absorption) with leafy green vegetables. Kale, spinach, shredded zucchini.
Veggies light-fried in ghee & coconut oil with ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander & turmeric.
Cooked grains added, lime juice, soy sauce and nutritional yeast mixed in. Topped with mixed seeds: pine nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds - and a healthy amount of kefir on top for that fermented goodness. Delicious!!
A protein-packed side dish of tofu, curd cheese and cottage cheese.
