Ophelia

My apologies for the lack of activity blog-wise. As you probably have guessed by now, I am a rather sickly person and usually fall quite ill at least once a month, which is usually the reason for any posting lapses. I feel better now however, because I got some antibiotics yesterday - I can't seem to combat anything without them, which isn't good! Food has also been incredibly boring lately, due to stomach problems I've had to fast a lot, and eat very plain food - quinoa pasta, plain white rice, et cetera. I found a picture of Ophelia today, and I feel like her - all ghastly and wan - at least as she is pictured in the art below. This song is very different to the kind I usually post - in some horrible way, I think it goes quite well with Ophelia.

  4. I read that the model of the painting fell dangerously sick afterwards, she had to remain in cold water for hours....hard job

apparently the model for this painting nearly died because she was in the bath for too long.. you can see her hands are kind of awkward.. they're just resting on the edge of a bath!

  6. I'm usually useless at commenting but I just thought I'd mention that I love Superchick, despite their religiousness in some of their songs which doesn't exactly tie into my own... views, to put it one way XD Just a thought, but my own immune systen is pretty crappy, and it's more or less 100% due to the fact that I have chronic anaemia. Just a thought, don't know if you'd had it checked out or not.

My name is Ophelia. The whole miserable suicidal thing gets really old after you've had people constantly bringing it up for 18 years...

  10. Sorry you have not been feeling well! I have a sensitive stomach, too, and have found that ginger supplements really help.

Waterhouse did such beautiful, magical paintings! Thank you for reminding me of his work.

    Have a fantastic birthday!

  12. You have an uncanny resemblance to Ophelia! For a moment I almost thought you had staged the Millais painting for a photo.
