We Love Colors

I was recently sent three pairs of tights from We Love Colors - I can honestly say that I have never owned tights of the quality that these are! I'm the kind of girl who rips a pair of tights within an hour of putting them on, and is never quite sure how, be it an expensive pair or a three-pack from Primark.
When I initially received the tights, I was amazed at how, well, well-made they appeared to be - especially the patterned pairs. You know on the inside of patterned tights there's usually stray threads and weak spots? Not WLC tights - every seam is strong, stitched tightly, and no strays. I always have to stretch tights longer when I buy them - I have to get small, but small tends to always be too short, hence the tugging - and I have to always be so ridiculously careful. But wait - not with my WLC tights I didn't! They withstood all kinds of tugging and pulling and so on, without even giving the slightest hint they would snag. Which they didn't.
My last rave comment will be how colour-true these are - there was no fading of colour when on, as a lot of colored tights do. It's really like you splashed pure unadulterated pigment on your legs. Check out We Love Colors on their website here - www.welovecolors.com - they have a huge range of not only tights and stockings, but dance wear, shoelaces, and more.

The tights I received are a solid opaque pair in lilac, a chequerboard pair and a diamond pair. I love the diamond pair the most, they remind me of a very grim harlequina/Alice style idea - which of course I would adore... Credit for these pictures goes 50/50 again to me and Maeve - who is turning out to be quite the talented photographer for only 14!
Here are the shots! I will be posting all these images periodically on Lookbook, but for now you can find the chequerboard look by clicking HERE.

As a side note, you have no idea how much it pains me to have written colour as color so many times. I'm a total stickler about English spelling being the correct way, and not American... after all, the English did invent the language. This leads to much cursing at automatic spell-checkers.

  2. I agree that the diamond tights have much character. Thank you for the review! I've always wanted to know the quality of these tights from someone whose opinion I trust.

I must say that these photos are astounding. Love the structure in the second and third photos and the setting is just lovely.

I live in a country that used to be a British colony and I've given up on automatic spell-checkers.

  17. You and Maeve are a winning team! These photos are some of my favorites I've seen on your site. I love the symmetrical quality of the 2nd photo, and those steps! Just gorgeous.

The tights are great. I will have to check out We Love Colors as I can never have enough tights. (I recently did a post about patterned tights myself!)

  18. Are you familiar with Sock Dreams? They sell a lot of leggings, tights, and thigh-highs that are thin but extra long. I actually just finished writing a little piece about them on my blog.

  19. Absolutely Stunning!! Only you could make those tights look that amazing.

Just a note on your 'colour/color' ramble. In Canada we spell it colour but all of our computers only have American spell check so it's always underlined on mine and it drives me crazy!

  24. Finally someone who agrees about the spelling. It always gets me with the z too, colourise not colorize! There really should be a proper English option on the spell checker, I'm sick of squiggly red lines!

  25. You know, when I see your outfits, I look at mine and go, I wish I could switch (happens very rarely with me, only 2 people make me want this). But then I think about it being YOUR style, and then it just inspires me causing me to want to shop. XD
    weird little tidbit I know.

PS: Your photo with the diamond tights is SUPER inspiring and makes me want those tights >>; <3

  33. Why idiots would want to post negative things about someone so beautifully open, talented and original is beyond understanding. You did the right thing - delete and forget them.
You bring freshness and joy to many and they appreciate you for sharing your thoughts and ideas on the internet.
    Good for you.

  35. what's the difference between saying "color" or "colour"? English is not my mother language but I've been told that both are correct (American and English)

You are my style hero by the way
