Gaultier Braids

Oh oh, I have been such a bad blogger lately. My apologies - I've been so uninspired by anything. Today I put my hair in Gaultier style braids - ever since I saw them in his '10 haute couture show, I was enamoured! I think I look really strange in a way with braids in - but I like it. I'm back to (yet again) waiting for the post - I have a lot of lovely packages coming to me, but they're all taking their sweet time. Hurrah for a new banner - finally - Liam was kind enough to give me permission to use his design, so a huge thank you to him!

A lot of people asked what lipstick I was wearing in my last outfit post - it's MAC's Cyber, a very lovely dark purple - their most underrated colour I think! I'm wearing it again in this shot, it's more pink-toned this time because I applied it over a magenta lip pencil. Does anyone else suffer from the curse of ridiculously dark undereye circles, given by genetics and therefore un-erasable? I actually have given up on trying to conceal them properly, they always lurk there, unwanted, unwilling to corrected for love or money. To answer a potential question ; it didn't take too long to do this hairstyle at all! Maybe 20 minutes? I sectioned off half of my hair, and just braided the pieces row by row. The rest of my hair is in a high ponytail, with a four-way braid.

  3. Oh yes! I have the exact same problem! I've had dark circles since I can remember, and no matter how much concealer I put on, they never fade away. They may be a bit less dark, but they're still there... That combined with my yellowish complexion leads to the oh-so-nice-but-usual-comment from my coworkers: "oh! are you sick?!"
So if anyone knows a miracle concealer, please let us know! :D

  4. I've never had really dark circles under my eyes, but I do notice that when I drink enough water (at least 32oz a day) they look a lot better. I don't know if it would help people with more severe dark circles, but it's so simple, it's worth a try.

Also, I recommend putting on an anti-wrinkle eye cream before going to sleep. Even though we're still young, it helps repair the fine skin around your eyes that gets damaged from wearing makeup, not eating right, or not getting enough sleep.

  6. I too suffer from dark circles. And since I naturally have dark skin and my eyelids have been darken by nature, there are times that I look like a raccoon. It's terrible.

  10. I have those damn dark genetic circles too :( They're a bitch. I really like Benefit Erase Paste; it's salmon-colored so it really counteracts the purple-bruise colors of the circles. Oddly enough, I have to say in this look, with this particular lipstick, you are rocking the under-eye circles. ROFL ;)
